{GUEST POST} Pin the Eye on the Monster Game

Hey there friends!!!

It's Kristyn, from Lil' Luna!
So happy to be here today, and even more excited to show you a tutorial for something Amanda inspired!
Since Amanda is so super duper awesome, she is helping me with my son's 2nd birthday party which is this week. The theme is MONSTERS, so I will be using her new collection she just added to her shop
{Seriously - you should go buy it now HERE!! A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!}

Amanda has gone above and beyond the call of duty and has made all sorts of goodies for my son's party and I can't wait to put it all together and show you everything on Lil' Luna soon.

Any who, I wanted to come up with some FUN games to play at Gav's party and thought it would be WAY CUTE to use some of Amanda's Printables as part of:

I was hoping to find some furry fabric, but decided instead to sew and ruffle crepe paper, which if you've been to my blog,
you know I'm a fan of!
PROOF:
Valentine's Banner. Birthday Hat.
Love me some ruffled crepe paper!!

Any who, here is how I made the adorable monster!

SUPPLIES:
-Poster Board
-Crepe Paper {2 colors}
-Sewing Machine
-Hot Glue Gun
-Scrapbook Paper
-Sewing Machine
-Eyes

DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut out your poster board in the shape you want your monster to be.

2. Cut hands and legs and add to posterboard. Set aside

3. Add two strips of crepe paper together and sew a straight stitch down the middle. You will then pull one string as you scrunch the crepe paper and push it down. You can do it in strips of any length, but I usually cut mine about 2.5 feet long and scrunch from there.

4. Hot glue strips to posterboard.

5. Hot glue on mouth and let the kiddos attempt to add the eyes!!

SO FUN and awesome to see the EYES all over the monster!

Thanks for having me Amanda and be sure to check out Lil' Luna in the next few weeks to see some pics of the party as well as Amanda's printables put to work!

XO - Kristyn

I love it, Kristyn! Thank you so much for sharing your fun project with us. I think it's such a cute idea, and could be used for so many different party themes. Best wishes with Gavin's party this weekend!
