And now for Part 2 of Charlene's AMAZING Go Kart Racing Party using the Amanda's Parties' Go Kart Racing Printables. With so many great ideas and photos from this talented lady, I thought I'd break the party into three days of posts. And if you missed yesterday's Part 1, be sure to check it out for some fabulous dessert table ideas.
- Day 1: The Dessert Table
- Day 2: The Craft and Eating Table
- Day 3: The Go Kart Racing
Charlene loves to throw memorable birthday parties for her boys and has a tradition of always choosing transportation themes. After years of race cars and trucks, this year she decided on go kart racing. And with these colors and such a fun theme for boys, how could she go wrong!
Leaving no area "un-done," Charlene decorated a dessert table, a craft table and an eating table for the guests. She used the Go Kart Printables throughout the party space to carry the theme from one area to the next using signs, logos and all of the coordinating papers that are included in the collection.
A few pieces of fabric for table runners and colored paper plates and napkins in her chosen bright colors were a simple but fantastic way to carry the theme through to the eating table. Charlene printed the 2" logos from the printables collection onto sticker paper and created her own "themed" paper plates.
Charlene even used shelves that she already had hung on her wall to display more party items including one of the signs for the food station that says, "Fuel Up!" and a cut out of the go kart graphic that she enlarged a little on her home printer.
Two of my favorite elements of Charlene's party are the favor bags and the terrific t-shirts she made for each guest. For the favor bags, she took plain white bags and embellished them with the logo from the Go Kart Printables Collection and even made her own name labels for each bag using her own computer and also attached a piece of the printables pack checkered paper to the front of the bag.
In the favor bags, Charlene says, "Their goodie bags also had a little lego kits (found at Toys r Us on clearance!!), tattoos, punching balloons and then packaged candy, cookies from the dessert table. They also got to keep their own t-shirts too!"
Charlene is a genius at using the printables to her advantage.... from wrapping the snack cups with the blue dot coordinating paper to adding a small logo from the collection to the front and all of the logos on cups, plates and even toothpicks, she shows us all some wonderful ideas for stretching a dollar.
Can you believe this party set up? Wow!
And of course, the kids have to have a craft to keep them busy so Charlene made a craft table as cute as all the rest of her party tables. She says, "I decided on personalized door hangers for a craft to incorporate the go kart graphic and their name. I printed a few words and images on sticker paper and made the door hangers out of orange cardstock and blackboard sticker paper (roll) from Michaels- and gave them chalk too (Dollar Tree) so they could write or draw whatever on one side!"
Awesome Party, I love all the details!
