Yummy & Fun Halloween Recipes

I guess to some it might seem a little ridiculous to walk through Target in September and see ghosts and pumpkins staring back at you. But not me, I LOVE it! It just means that oh so creative holiday is right around the corner! Halloween!

And now that we are already knee-deep into October, I hope you all are joining in some Halloween fun.... contemplating costumes, hanging cobwebs, picking out pumpkins and of course, digging through recipes to find the good stuff -- the fun, creepy Halloween ones!

Today, I've got a few more to add to your collection. Take a look at this....


Isn't it adorable? A fabulous little ice cream dessert called a Candy Corn Freeze from Kaboose.com. It's just tinted ice cream poured from decorating (icing) bags! How nifty is that?? And easy, too!

And my kids are going to go CRAZY for this one.... Orange Hot Chocolate!! A mix of white chocolate, orange coloring and milk -- you can't go wrong with anything that has white chocolate in it! You can find the recipe at Kaboose.com, too.

I love these little monster treats! Mummy cakes from Woman's Day are easy to make, too. That's a twinkie under all the wrapping! Twinkies, canned frosting and m&m's -- that's all. Find the how-to Woman's Day.

And another quick and cute treat for the kids from Living Locurto, Owl Smores. Made with graham crackers, marshmallows, yellow candy melts, chocolate chips and a candy corn. Simple and adorable!

Adorable Art Party!

I've been so excited to share this amazing art party with all of you.  Art parties have such a special place in my heart. I truly believe there is nothing much better to occupy a child than a crayon and a piece of paper. Imaginations soar if you just give them the chance!

Using one of my favorite quotes from Picasso to inspire her, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up," Judy created her own masterpiece of a party. Enjoy all of the details.... the love that went into this creation for her 4 year old baby. The lollipop sugar cookies, the art palette cookies, the adorable craft for the kids to take home with them -- I LOVE IT ALL!

Halloween Wreath Inspiration

It's time to decorate those front doors for Halloween, and there are a few wreath projects I've come across that might inspire you. Great ideas from some fabulously talented women!

If you'd like to add a little twist to the typical orange and black, try out some Halloween PINK this year. I'm loving this black tulle and fushia boa wreath from Flamingo Toes . She's got a great how-to so if you're lovin' the tulle, go see her blog and make one of your own.

Craft project + sugared-up youngsters = LOTS of Advil for mommy.....

So maybe not a project with the kids, but they sure will love coming home to this cute little door wreath from Craft-o-maniac. That is, if they don't steal all the candy off of it first!
